LOUD TATE:CODE 8th November, 2014

In London this weekend? Head over to Tate Britain for LOUD TATE: CODE where you can check out my glitched up take on Marmaduke Cradock's  A Peacock and Other Birds in a Landscape (c.1700) . It's an exciting honor to be part of the exhibit that takes on code in our modern culture. It's great fun reshaping classic British works from formal studies (such as Cradock's) into gorgeous technicolor digital debris.  And certainly my first time showing a piece at the Tate.

(more info after the jump)

Head over to Tate Britain for a fascinating free day of art, music and performance curated by Tate Collective London. BP Loud Tate: Code explores how codes in language, fashion and technology shape culture, inspired by the displays at Tate Britain.
Live performance includes an acoustic set by recently nominated for MOBO best new comer and best hip-hop act, Little Simz, new tracks from emerging south London hip-hop artist Loyle Carner, a bespoke track produced for Tate by soulful singer-songwriter Shakka, special live performance from Throwing Shade and DJ set  from SBTV invited artist DJ Spyro.
Drop in to one of our practical workshops and design your own temporary tattoo, make a code inspired badge, create a zine or mix new sounds using analogue technology. Limited space is also available to create our own t-shirt with Peckham Print Studio.
Into digital art? Seek out a series of glitch artworks or learn how to make them yourself. Want to see your work in this event too? Find out how you can take part.
Tate Collective London offers young people, 15-25 years old, opportunities to work collaboratively with artists, exchange ideas across art platforms at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.
