Self described "single Dad, no kids" Michael Wheeler is a wildly popular Instagram model and humorist and since he currently resides in Portland OR where I was spending several weeks directing a play this fall. I decided to meet up with him and shoot a series of surreal, sexy, and slightly somber portraits on my rare off day.

 Decided to resurrect the Mythical Beast/Domesticated Animals series from 2012 (now just titled Domesticated Animals (and designated by city) These were shot in a surprisingly cold winter getaway to Amsterdam in February 2017. 

A brand new video debut!  A Marbled Swarm, A Hornet's Tongue is a witchy, grimy, hypnotic throwback to 90's  era music videos you'd obsess over late night on MTV's 120 Minutes program. Shot on location in southern Iceland, it is teh title track from Boarding School's brand new album.

A Marbled Swarm, A Hornet's Nest" is the sophomore album and yet third full length release from Boarding School following Mute Songs Vols 1 & 2. Inspired by the work of controversial author Dennis Cooper as well being the first Boarding School written and recorded domestically in the United States in Klaus-Vineyard's newly adopted home town of Seattle Washington.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS ALBUM WILL GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD.

Electric Sheep is the ambient/artnoise composition that will provide the score to a new video installation work later this year.  it was recorded and remixed during the same sessions as the upcoming    "A Marbled Swarm, A Hornet's Tongue" (out 01-13-2017 on Le Garçon Sale Records). The 48 min sound-design piece runs the gamut from anxiety-inducing dissonance to hypnotic late night trip-hop and back again.
